According to foreign reports in July 15th, due to the late rainy season this year, the outlook for cotton production in India is not optimistic. Many cotton farmers are looking for alternative crops with short maturity.

At present, precipitation is still lacking in some parts of India. Half of the 22 cotton growing areas in Andhra Pradesh are below normal except for the hdeella district.

As of July 10th, the rainfall in the 6 most arid regions of India was 99% lower than normal, while that in other regions was 20%-60% lower.

In addition, insufficient rainfall also led to tight supply in Andhra Pradesh and affected the normal supply of potable water.

As of July, the precipitation in central India is only 155 millimeters, which is below the average of 361 millimeters.
