Led by the company, the research and framework compilation of textile coding (chemical fiber part) started in December 2005.

After more than 3 years of continuous improvement and adjustment, many authoritative departments and research institutes in China have been supported during this period.

In September 2008, it was officially approved by the National Standardization Management Committee, and entered the national standardization project development procedure. It was put forward and normalized by the National Code Standardization Technical Committee of the whole country. It was drafted by Electronic Commerce Information Co., Ltd., China Textile Information Center and China Commodity coding center.

A year later, the standard passed the examination by the national standard examination group and entered the public notice.

It is learnt that the coding of textile fabrics is all digital code, consisting of name code and attribute code, a total of 16 digits. It is compiled according to the principles of scientificity, versatility, practicability and expansibility.

These codes are like the "identity cards" of fabrics, which can be used to understand the main raw materials, yarn structure and interlacing information of fabrics, and are suitable for information processing and information exchange of textile fabrics such as production, sales, logistics, e-commerce and so on.

The experts of the national standard review group agree that "textile fabric coding (chemical fiber part)" fully considers the current situation of China's textile industry, with scientific and reasonable content, forward-looking, applicable and operable, reaching the advanced level in China.

It has a milestone significance in advancing the informatization construction of textile industry, realizing information interchange, sharing resources, and promoting the construction of e-commerce in textile industry.
