Focus On China'S Silk Renaissance

Silk is a traditional national industry in China. It has a very glorious period in history.

However, since modern times, the silk industry has been declining.

Breach

Route.

How to make intensive processing of silk, enhance the added value of products, and bring value back to Chinese silk has become a new challenge for the silk industry.

With the increase of government investment in India, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries, competition from neighboring countries will become increasingly intense. With the market pressure brought by the appreciation of the renminbi, the comparative advantage of domestic cocoon silk export prices is being weakened.

The silk industry, which has more than 6000 years of Chinese culture, is now facing the problem of breaking cocoon.

In December 6th, after the China Silk Association general meeting, the reporter interviewed the new appointee.

China

Yang Yongyuan, President of the Silk Association, invited them to sort out the past and present life of the silk industry and talk about the development ideas of the silk industry in the next five years.

The twists and turns of Chinese silk yesterday

Textile and clothing weekly: in your resume, we see that you have been the third chairman of the China Silk Association.

This year, I will be president of the association again. What is your feeling? Please talk about your understanding and work ideas for the silk industry.

Yang Yongyuan: I feel very honored. At the same time, I have great responsibilities and pressure.

China's silk is very famous. The leaders of this country attach great importance to it. People have feelings for silk, and everyone has high hopes for the silk industry. However, the development of China's silk industry has gone through a rather tortuous road.

In the Ming Dynasty, the Chinese silk industry had reached a glorious period. At that time, the silk road was exported to the west, mainly made of three kinds of products, such as brocade, velvet and high-grade silk fabrics, which are mainly used by the palace nobles and temples.

In modern times, especially before liberation, the silk industry was on the verge of death, and the lowest annual output was only 300 thousand.

After liberation, China's silk industry has been restored to growth.

even if it is

Grain and cotton

When we were fighting for the land, we also got strong support from the state.

While China's silk exports earn foreign exchange, it also contributes to China's economic development.

However, due to the influence of foreign exchange and other factors, Chinese silk products were mainly made of raw silk and green silk fabrics, which were relatively simple in structure, only in the primary stage, and not enough in the printing and dyeing industry.

The revival of the nation also created conditions for the development of the silk industry.

Before liberation, the best period was about 4 million 300 thousand tons per year. In the early days of reform and opening up, Chinese silk was far better than its best in history.

In the 15 years since the reform and opening up, China's silk industry has been developing rapidly.

By 1995, it has increased by three times the size of the highest historical period, reaching 15 million.

At the same time, considerable progress has been made in silk reeling, weaving, dyeing, clothing and so on.

On the silk export, from the ratio of raw silk and green silk to 55, the proportion of raw silk, silks and garments to 333 has been developed at a higher level.

In 1994, the external environment of China's silk industry changed greatly.

One is that the state has implemented macroeconomic policies and the second is that China's economy has changed from a traditional planned economy to a socialist market economy; thirdly, there have been some changes in the macro management system.

These three factors have brought great impact to the silk industry.

By the end of the twentieth Century, a large number of state-owned enterprises were wiping out and pforming, and China's silk industry entered the most difficult period since the founding of new China.

"Today" Silk enters the Renaissance Era

Textile and clothing weekly: after that, what is the development of China's silk industry?

Yang Yongyuan: at that time there were still a group of silk talents in China.

After 2000, China's economy entered a new round of development cycle.

With the acceleration of urbanization in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other regions, arable land has decreased and labor costs have increased. Silk, as a traditional industry, has encountered a crisis of irreversible mulberry cultivation and silkworm breeding.

On the basis of timely investigation of the current situation of the silk industry, the state put forward a strategic policy of moving the east to the West in order to stabilize the output of silk, and shift the silkworm culture from the coast to the central and western regions.

As the first batch of practitioners in the industrial pfer, East sang Xi shift has effectively stabilized the yield of cocoon silk. Up to now, the output of sericulture has exceeded 50% of the total output of the whole country.

At the same time, the silk industry along the coast is also undergoing a difficult pformation.

During this period, Chinese silk has begun to pform towards the final product.

In the reconfiguration of globalized resources, China has gradually changed from the largest exporter of raw silk and silk to the production and manufacture of the world's largest silk products.

Despite the difficult steps, a large number of excellent silk end products manufacturers have emerged.

Chinese silk is changing from traditional silk and silk to silk end products.

After completing the mission of earning foreign exchange for the country, and with the improvement of people's living standard, in recent years, Chinese people have made great contributions to silk industry.

consumption

And began to return.

In this sense, Chinese silk is beginning to enter a "Renaissance era" with higher level and consumption of silk end products.

Chinese people have the tradition of consuming silk.

In the past, it was a beautiful dream for every bride to make a silk jacket when she married.

Nowadays, the concept of consumption of silk has changed a lot. "Beauty" and "high-end" must be the main direction of the development of silk industry in the future.

In women's clothing, neckties, home textiles, gifts and even interior decoration, silk will be more useful.

Mission and responsibility of trade associations

Textile and clothing weekly: where will the new leadership of the Silk Association undertake the important task of "revival" of Chinese silk?

Yang Yongyuan: during the "12th Five-Year" period, the task of the China Silk Association is to promote the pformation of Chinese silk from "great power" to "great power".

The most obvious sign of becoming stronger is the pformation of silk products from silk and silk fabrics to the final products.

As far as the association is concerned, it is our duty to build a team of excellent entrepreneurs, make more and better products, and develop China's silk industry scientifically.

Therefore, the association should deeply listen to the entrepreneurs' feelings, understand and study the needs of enterprises, and make suggestions for the growth and development of entrepreneurs. We must select silk top 100 enterprises, increase the popularity of entrepreneurs, and promote the development and growth of entrepreneurs. We should pay attention to the progress of Science and technology, promote the development and progress of the industry in the aspects of raw silk detection, printing and dyeing, and equipment; develop silk culture, keep up with the trend of fashion, keep the silk products up to the development of society and the times; study the major problems in the development of the industry, such as the huge fluctuation of cocoon silk price, and timely reflect the demands of the industry when the national macro-control policies are promulgated, and conduct targeted treatment and differential treatment of the silk industry.

The work of the association is multi-layered and omnibearing, including the practical problems existing in the market economy, and it can also play the role of the association, such as some counterfeiting existing in the silk quilt industry.

Fake and inferior

Phenomena and so on, all through the work and efforts of the association, make good enterprises stand out and recommend excellent products to consumers.

Finally, it is hoped that all the forces of all parties will pay more attention to the silk industry and jointly promote the development of the silk industry in China.
