At present, Chongqing has built the largest and competitive production base for women's garments and down garments in the western region. At the same time, it is accelerating the construction of the western textile and clothing science and technology creative base represented by Jiangjin and the western textile and Garment City represented by Banan.

As of last year, the city's textile industry achieved sales revenue of 45 billion 200 million yuan, ranking eighteenth in the country, third in the western region, and the annual growth rate of industrial output was above 25%.

It is reported that Chongqing will introduce the "guiding opinions on further accelerating the development of textile and garment industry", and strive to 2015 textile and clothing sales revenue of more than 135 billion yuan, forming a hundred billion level textile industry cluster.
