With more than 30 decades of growth, the industry has been consolidating the advantages of traditional textile machinery and focusing on the new hot spots and new developments of the textile industry.

The theme of this exhibition is "smart cross border new textile", focusing on the technology and equipment used in the sports textile industry.

The conference will work with Hong Kong Polytech University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and wearable technology company Antelope to organize a "Zhihui Textile Design Competition" to achieve the perfect blend of "technology and fashion" and "creativity and technology".

The general assembly is now inviting students and designers from around the world to compete in textile, fashion, products, electronics, engineering or any related departments at the age of 30.

Introduction to "Zhihui Textile Design Competition"

The theme of the "Zhihui Textile Design Competition" is "integrating the wearable technology with textiles to design an intelligent textile that can improve human life", which aims to encourage designers to combine the design creativity with high-tech textile technology perfectly.

The jury will be composed of professors, professional designers, international wearable technology experts and textile machinery enterprises. The criteria will focus on the following six factors: the integration of wearable technology and textiles, intelligent technology and application, market potential, functionality, aesthetics, and innovative ideas.

The finals and awards ceremony will be held on the opening day of the "2017 Shanghai Textile Machinery Exhibition", and the first five teams will have the opportunity to exhibit on the spot and show them to the textile industry in various countries.

The conference hopes that through this competition, we can train innovative talents for the textile industry, support more outstanding designers to innovate and start businesses, and hope that the competition can become a platform for excellent designers to connect with enterprises and society, as well as an exchange and interaction platform between the textile industry and the emerging technology industry.

The Shanghai textile machinery exhibition will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center on 27-30 November 2017.

The exhibition will focus on the technology and equipment used in sportswear industry. At the same time, the "Sports Arena sports technology arena" will be held at the same time. Guests from all over the world will be invited to the venue. A series of forums, competitions, exhibitions and experience activities will be held for the three themes of "wearable technology x textile", "Sports Bra" and "sports shoes technology" to share with the audience the most forward-looking development, technology and design trends of sports textiles.

Antelope, a German technology company, will provide 6 weeks of internship opportunities for the German company's headquarters for the winners. It will also serve as a competition judge and display the latest smart sportswear technology at the 2017 Shanghai Textile Expo. It will also communicate with the audience at the theme forum of wearable technology x textile.

Professor Tao is the founder and chief scientist of the functional intelligent textile and clothing nano research center established in 2004. His main research interests include advanced fiber materials and their theory, engineering, manufacturing and application in flexible optoelectronic devices and systems.

Professor Tao will be the judge of the competition and will share the development status and trend of intelligent textiles with the audience at the same time.
