290 Agencies Such As Burberry And H&M Promise To Curb Plastic Pollution.

A few days ago, 290 institutions including the world's major packaging manufacturers, brands, retailers, recycling companies, governments and NGO (non-governmental organizations) signed the "The New Plastics Economy Global Commitment".

The document is aimed at containing plastic pollution from the source. It was co sponsored by Ellen MacArthur Foundation foundation and UN Environment (United Nations Environment Programme), and was officially announced at Our Ocean Conference (Our Ocean Conference) held in Bali Island in October 29th.

Eliminate problem packaging or unnecessary packaging, changing from disposable packaging mode to reusable packaging mode.

Through innovation, it is ensured that 100% of plastic packaging can be safely and repeatedly used, recycled or compost by 2025.

By recycling a large number of plastics or reusing them, new packaging or products can be made to recycle the produced plastics.

These goals will undergo an assessment every 18 months, and the goals will be higher and higher in the coming years.

All companies that sign the undertaking need to publicly disclose the progress of reducing plastic consumption every year by achieving these goals.
