Liu Kan, male, born in November 1979, is a member of the Hubei Wu Han nationality, a member of the Communist Party of China, a three class professor in the school of electrical and electrical engineering, Wuhan Textile University, a master's supervisor, and a high-level talent introduction from Hubei provincial talent project. He received a bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Wuhan University in 2002, and a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from Wuhan University in 2007. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California at Los Angeles biomolecular and drug imaging center / California nanoscale system research center from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, he entered Wuhan Textile University, mainly engaged in research and development of microfluidic chips.

He has chaired and participated in the National Natural Science Foundation's major research instruments development project, the national key research and development plan, the "digital medical equipment research and development" pilot project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the youth project, the "outstanding youth fund" of Hubei Province, the "double win battle team" of Hubei Province, and the "10 outstanding young and middle-aged innovation team" and other national level, provincial and ministerial level in Hubei. In 2018, he was selected as a special subsidy officer of the Hubei provincial government and a new century high level talent project of Hubei province. He was elected to the list of Elsevier highly cited scholars in China for six consecutive years (2014-2019).
