In the past month, the spot price of cotton in China has been surging up, the overall price of denim yarn has been weak, and the price of indigo dye has remained stable; in terms of fabrics, the market has risen, and denim manufacturers have accelerated product innovation to adapt to the new market environment.


Since September, under the influence of multiple factors, such as the rotation of reserved cotton, the additional issuance of cotton sliding tax quota and Sino US trade friction, the domestic and foreign cotton futures prices have risen. On September 25, the spot price of 3128b cotton in China was 12910 yuan / ton, up 255 yuan / ton compared with the same period last month.

In terms of dyes, the sales volume of indigo dyes in September was the same as that in August, and the competition among dye enterprises was still fierce. The average ex factory price of indigo dyes was about 38500 yuan / ton, which was the same as that of last month.

From the production situation, as of September 25, the capacity utilization rate of key denim enterprises was maintained at 70%, an increase of 5 percentage points compared with the previous month.

From the domestic market point of view, the terminal demand is rising slightly, and the market consumption potential still has a lot of room to release. Enterprises actively increase product research and development, increase antibacterial, environmental protection and other functional products to meet the needs of different consumers, and improve sales through exhibition, live broadcast, Internet Mall and other channels.

From the perspective of international market situation, brand companies take promotion measures to ease the sales pressure, which promotes the increase of foreign trade sales of domestic denim manufacturers; from the domestic market point of view, the domestic economic situation continues to improve, and the market consumption grows slowly. At the same time, enterprises actively adjust the market layout, increase the development of domestic market, and increase the domestic market share.
