Yudu, Jiangxi: New Era · New Long March Intelligent Manufacturing Cultivates "New Industry"

Today, Yudu county is full of elements of the long march. There are nearly 3000 large and small textile and garment enterprises gathered here, with an output value of more than 52 billion yuan in 2020, and it is rated as "China famous brand clothing manufacturing city".

Yudu is located in the mountain area of Southern Jiangxi Province, with less land and more people. In order to make a living, at the beginning of the reform and opening up, a large number of Yudu's children worked in coastal areas, most of them entered garment factories. It is understood that at its peak, nearly 300000 Yudu people were engaged in the textile and clothing industry. Gradually, some of them chose to go back to their hometown and set up small clothing workshops, which started Yudu's textile and clothing industry.

In 2017, Yudu focused on textile and clothing as the "first industry", and introduced various preferential policies such as land and tax. In addition, with the local labor advantages, Yudu undertook a large number of coastal high-quality textile and garment enterprises, especially entrepreneurs from Yudu who returned home to start their own businesses, which led to the transformation and upgrading of local textile and garment manufacturing.

While foreign enterprises bring changes to Yudu garment industry, Yudu's deep red background is also slowly integrated into the culture of these enterprises.

From simple straw sandals and sewing machines to modern chemical factories with intelligent manufacturing, Yudu textile and garment industry is making great strides forward and marching towards the goal of 100 billion yuan.
