On September 8-10, the 2024 International Textile Manufacturers Federation Annual Conference and the Fashion Conference of the International Garment Union was held in Uzbekistan. The Carbon Cycle: From Carbon Dioxide to Polyester Fiber, declared by Jiangsu Guowang Gaoke Fiber Co., Ltd., Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Jiangsu Silbang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Jiangsu New Horizon Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center Co., Ltd., Anta Sports Goods Co., Ltd. and other units, won the "International Textile Federation Sustainability and Innovation Award", This is the only project in China to win this award in 2024.

Shenghong Holding Group has integrated the R&D and production capacity of its subsidiaries, Guowang Gaoke and Silbang Petrochemical, and built the world's first low-carbon circular green industrial chain of "carbon dioxide capture and utilization green glycol functional polyester fiber" (brand name of carbon capture fiber: picture). The technology captures carbon dioxide emitted from industrial production and further converts it into fiber grade ethylene glycol through chemical reaction; It has also developed direct "esterification polycondensation" and melt composite direct spinning processes to prepare flexible, ultra-fine, UV resistant and other functional polyester fiber products, which have been successfully applied in the field of textiles and clothing, realizing the recycling of carbon resources, and playing a leading and exemplary role in the sustainable development of the textile industry. It is estimated that the carbon emission of fiber made of carbon dioxide is 28.4% lower than that of raw fiber.
It is reported that Shenghong will expand the production capacity of reocoer Ruikong carbon capture fiber in stages, and the first phase of construction will complete the annual production capacity of 30000 tons of carbon recycled polyester fiber. Reocoer Richcon carbon capture fiber is traceable throughout the whole process, and its quality is consistent with that of the original fiber. It can be produced in POY, DTY, FDY and other specifications, and is applicable to all knitted and woven fabrics.

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), or "International Textile Manufacturers Federation" for short, was founded in 1904 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Its members are industry organizations from major countries and regions in the world, as well as world-renowned textile and clothing manufacturing enterprises. The "International Textile Federation Award" is selected once a year, which is divided into two awards: "Sustainability and Innovation Award" and "International Cooperation Award". Among them, the "Sustainability and Innovation Award" is used to commend the sustainable and innovative achievements of the textile industry, and awarded to companies/organizations or individuals who have significantly improved the textile manufacturing industry in the comprehensive field of innovation and sustainable development.
